I was a regular customer at Sphere and found her prices very reasonable. However, her 'helper' although very polite and friendly singed my hair with the straighteners on two occasions. On the second occasion it was so badly burned that an ex-hairdresser friend and a beautician friend both said I needed to go back; also it could have been faulty equipment. I plucked up courage as I don't l;ike complaining and probably left it too long to be honest. Kate didn't come any where near me and left me to Deanna, the girl who had burned it. She was supposed to put on a deep conditioning treatment as a 'good will gesture', but only combed it through. She had to be told by Kate to leave it on for at least 5 minutes. This, despite claiming she is fully qualified! So I had to have the conditioner put on again.Kate apologised to DEanna for this ! saying she should have told her. I'm not qualified at all, but I would know a deep conditioning treatment would need to be left on. She roughly dried my hair with a towel and proceeded to give me a blow-dry but burned my neck with the hairdryer. I actually shouted out in pain, but she just looked over at Kate and kept the dryer on the same heat. Not a word of concern to me. When she saw how badly singed my fringe was after the condtioner treatment, she started to ask ME should she try some serum to see if that would help. At no point did Kate, who must have been able to hear the conversation as no dryers were on, come over or offer to cut my hair for me. I can't think why as I was a reular customer who had my hair cut every 6 WKs. When I was leaving, Kate asked me did it feel any better? It was what it LOOKED like that was the problem. I said I would have to wait until my next cut to have it cut out. Deanna said it would probably take more than one cut to get rid iof it!!! Kate should , if she has any business acumen, see Deanna as a liability. She lost a good customer in me. I was sorry to leave because prices were so reasonable, and when Kate has done highlights, they have been excellent. I can only think that they think I caused the damage . I left it too late when going back and they didn't take it seriously.

Excellent skill, but my word miserable as sin. Tried making conversation, got a grunt or two and then when she finished she didn't even show me my haircut. You just got a vibe they only want certain custom which is a shame cos they cut a good haircut. 3 stars should be 5.

Had a fab wash, cut & blow dry with Kate. Found her to be lovely and her prices are exceptional - I usually pay £40, she only charged £22. Will definitely go again!

Never had such an awful hair appointment. Hairdresser was cold and impolite. Forget about the usual small talk there wasnt even a hello or goodbye from her. The cut I recieved was average at best..hairdresser was rough with her comb and made no effort in preventing water being sprayed in my face each time. Definately wont be going back there.
