Are you tired of sporting the same old appearance? Wouldn't it be fun if you could dramatically change your look quickly? If you're tired of people typecasting you and want to sport a brand new image here are some ways to do it:
1. Dye your hair.
If you have brown, lackluster hair, why not see what life is like as a blonde? Going blonde can be as simple as making a trip to the drugstore to the hair coloring department or scheduling a visit with your hairdresser. Just be sure to avoid using potentially damaging chemicals on your hair before consulting a hairdresser. If you're blonde, why not see what life is like with brunette or red hair? If you don't want to make a long term commitment to a new hair color, start with a temporary rinse that washes off after a few shampoos. Hair coloring can make a dramatic difference in how you're perceived by other people and is one of the quickest ways to change your look.
2. Cut your hair.
Another great way to quickly change your look is to cut your hair. If you've hidden behind long hair most of your life, why not break out of your shell and sport a chic, short haircut? If you really want to change your look, combine your short haircut with a new hair color. Don't be surprised if people no longer recognize you.
3. Get a wig.
Do you want a completely new look with no long term commitment? Head over to your local wig store and spend the day trying on the many different wigs that are available to you. Don't stop until you find the perfect one that transforms your looks and image. Wear it to your next social function and see how people respond to you. It could be interesting!
4. Put on a pair of glasses or get contacts.
If you've worn glasses all your life, contact lenses, particularly colored ones, can change your look instantly. If you've never worn glasses or only worn contacts, why not head to your closest eye glass store to see what's available? Even if you don't have visual problems, you can get nonprescription glasses to wear. If you choose an eye glass frame that compliments your bone structure perfectly, eye glasses can be incredibly sexy. Plus, you can take them off if you get tired of wearing them.
5. Head to the cosmetics counter.
Why not schedule a consultation with a cosmetics specialist at your local department store? Tell her you want a new look and see what she comes up with. If you love your new look, buy the makeup to create your look at home. If not, you've lost nothing but time and you've probably learned a little about what doesn't work for you.
Why not give these ideas for changing your look a try? You may be surprised at the positive reaction you get from other people.
