It was my first time to Lifestyles in Aylesbury, and most certainly the last. I'm absolutely upset and angry, I paid well over £100 and left with what I can only call my hair a mess.
I went in for a consultation to discuss what I wanted and had my patch test done. . My hair is extremely blonde, and I wanted to go darker. This was agreed, but the stylist said it would be more warmer as my hair would turn green. Such nonsense. I also asked for permanent hair colours as I just wanted a low maintenance hair colour. She completely ignored me and used demi whitch washes out after a few washes.
After she had finished my hair and cut and styled it, it was still really Blonde and not the desired colour I asked for. She said to me are you ok with it not being darker, I didn't want you to be upset with me. (My whole hair appointment was about me going darker) I said she could have took me darker.
At the time, she also told me she was new to using L'Oréal dyes and had no clue what to use on my hair, so she asked for help. She also was meant to use two colours on my hair and only used one.
After my first Shampoo, the toner she used completely washed out. My hair was basically back to normal. Even worse, on closer inspection there was splogges all over my hair, it's so patchy. Then, to top it off, my hair wasn't even cut evenly. I had to sort that out myself at home.
I explained to the stylist that I'm a very anxious person and had so many bad experiences that I rarely go to the salon. This has completely knocked my confidence even more, that I will certainly not go back and let them touch my hair again.
I have contacted their salon via email to which I have had no response. This is disgusting that are getting away with it and charging clients for messing up their hair.
On top of all this to, I was a new client and as stated on their website, New clients get 50% off, this was not the case. I paid the full amount for a bodged up hair style.
I wouldn't bother going unless you don't care about your hair being ruined. Disgusting.

I stopped going to Lifestyle a couple of years ago not because of the stylist but because the wash is a nightmare, the people doing it have no interest in taking care and taking on board a simple request of not getting water in ear . (This is of course possible and other salons can do it) Just not Lifestyle. When you explicitly say you are not allowed (medically) to get water in ear, you would think they would be as careful as possible. Anyway, that was why I stopped going. I foolishly tried again in the last few days, only to find the wash has not improved, no its worse. Water everywhere, even my t shirt . And this was even after stylist asked the girl to be careful. I won't be going back, I can't have that worry.

Had a nightmare experience 1st stylist did not have a clue as to what she was doing -- had to stop 3x to question her ability. I finally made her stop and called over a colleague who assured she could fix the problem.
I had presented 2 similar pictures of the same style and explained this is what I want, will my hair hold this style am a wash and go girl-- yes, yes they assured me -well I walked out 2 hrs later with a completely different haircut-cropped short and looking nothing like the picture I had presented 5 times to each stylist --angry sure
Only one good thing the managing director of salon had the courtesy to email me and state he would look into the affair... me I'm certainly staying away from here -- they say the listen to what the customer wants--- they have no idea at all and expect you to be happy with what they then try say is the same style .
Absolute rubbish if I could post pics I would showing the fiasco of a hairstyle gone drastically wrong-can't even fix as way to short
