From a happy granddad - At last I have found a great barber who gives me and my two grandsons super haircuts, thanks to Gaynor for her patience and kindness, my grandsons now look forward to getting their haircuts - no more tears.

Been here three or four times and had a good cut every time.

I find these other reviews absolutely ridiculous! Ive been going to this barbers for over 10 years and my children and I love going there. The barbers interact with us and there is always a happy vibe. Never had a problem with the hair cuts itself either.

Appalling.
I only wish I could leave a No Star review.
I honestly don't know how they stay in business. Perhaps they won't for much longer.

Very rude staff. Took my little boy in today who I might add was extremely well behaved. I seemed to have interrupted 3 staff who were sitting in chairs texting and totally uninterested. Very abrupt with son, didn't smile or interact and very impatient barking orders at him to keep still when he was. When I mentioned this at the end she followed me onto street screaming abuse at me and asking what I expected for a fiver, f'ing cartwheels. Mortified being spoken to in front of my 3year old and 4 week old baby as well as passers by. Also haircut is terrible . I am always generous with a tip but my only tip today was AVOID!

Terrible place to take children…My poor son was in tears and words such as "i use these clippers on a 2yr old" really doesn't help a 6yr old! Miserable, most unhelpful women who work in that place in Bebington and I would avoid taking children under 8 who dream of asking a question or move their heads…I would like to say not all the staff are like that but after speaking to family members who have used that shop once would never return for the very same reason alone and their kids are 10,17 and 12….Even their husbands say the staff are miserable! I suggest the stop watching Jeremy Kyle and concentrate on the job they are paid to do and be a little bit friendly toward the general public and their children who pay for a service! There are lovely friendly barber shops close by who clearly have the time to spend with children who are a bit clipper shy or are simply a bit fidgety in the chair..Firm, Fair and fun!! not mean and just plain miserable!
My moto is don't like your job? get a new one…Don't like kids? simply refuse them!

I went into Route 66 Barbers in Bebington with my 21 month old son to get his hair cut. Unfortunately, my son was frightened of the booster seat the female Barber provided for him to sit on. As it was only his second time getting his hair cut, he was unsure what to expect and became very distressed when I tried to sit him on the seat. The Barber told me that she would not be able to cut my son's hair whilst sitting on my knee so in order to "just get it done" she suggested I forcefully pin him down on the chair because she "didn't really care". The Barber was completely void of any compassion or understanding for my son's fear and distress and was very unpleasant towards me, not sharing my view that pinning a baby down to have his hair cut would be distressing and frankly rather barbaric behaviour. Needless to say, I did not stay to have my son's hair cut and we went to another Barbers where he was fine.
I do not therefore believe Route 66 Barbers behaved to an acceptable standard in view of their care and hospitality towards my child. I was so upset following this experience that I shared it on social media and other local friends thought it was equally unacceaptable and some appear to have had similar negative experiences with the same Barbers shop.
