Toni & Guy Romford Reviews

One star is too good for them, I would rather give minus 5 stars. I had longer than shoulder length hair when I went in, a blank canvas. I told the so called senior stylist I wanted the excess length taken off to leave me with a graduated bob long enough to cover my jawline, I already had enough layers at the back. That's all the consultation I had, and he proceeded cutting. I couldn't see what was going on at the back until he came to the side of my head and I pointed out that if he kept cutting like that it would be too short at the sides. I was a bit worried when he finished as he seemed to have cut all the weight out by too much layering, but I hoped that it might look better when he blow dried it. The blow dry involved him swishing his hands through my hair and wiggling the hair dryer about, my hair was flat to my head when he finished, not a good look on me. I pointed out that I would like to have a little bit of 'lift' at the roots and he said ok. He didn't seem to have a clue how to do this and didn't have any idea how to blow dry around a brush. When I got home and looked in the mirror I could see he had hacked into the back of my hair and it looked like a man's short cut, (actually it looked like he had put a pudding basin on my head and cut round it with a knife and fork), at the sides I had longer flappy lengths of hair. How T & G can call him a senior stylist I don't know, he was more like a very junior trainee. I phoned to complain and the manager phoned me back, she said that I could have a complimentary next visit. Yeah, like I would go back there again! No thanks. The complimentary offer would be open for 6 weeks, but it will take at least 2 months for my hair to get to a length that I could begin to be happy with. Go to this salon at your peril, you'd be better off chucking £48 down the drain. I won't set foot in the place ever again.
