I have wavy hair that layers, needed a trim came out with my hair hacked. For the price didn't offer a wash so ended up with a dry cut without even a squirt of water to be able to get the ends straight. Really rubbish and I would have said something but felt embarrassed. Won't go back this is the first review I have ever written and it it avoid this s place.

After reading a lot of bad reviews I would like to add my own review. My hairdresser was extremely friendly and polite, my hair was cut exactly as I wanted it and I have recommended it to a lot of friends. The day I went all the electric in the bottom of town went off but they still carried on and everyone I saw leave left happy. They will be my regular hairdressers from now on.

I wouldn't go here again. The girl that cut my hair was very rude, the cut was rushed, bad and no effort was made to finish the cut what so ever. I usually go to Elburton but due to it being sunday it was closed. In future il save money, feel welcome and get a good cut by going to elburton.

I must say the first time I went to Celly's plymouth I had a bad experience with the manager and the girl ( don't want to name her.) but my friend recommended I ask for a lovely lady called Gemma who had been doing her hair since they opened. My friend said she was lovely, professional and did a lovely cut. So I went in and ask for Gemma and was told there was an hour wait for her as people were already waiting for her. I sat and waiting for the hour and the cut I got was completely worth it. Exactly what I wanted and she a put my faith back in a hairdresser again. She listened to every word and gave me some great advice on shampoo's and products. She gave me a loyalty card with her days etc on... I am extremely glad I've found Gemma and will be returning to see her no matter what the wait.
Thanks Gemma so happy

I would give them 0 stars if that was possible. I took my 12 year old daughter in on Saturday 15th February. When it was our turn Courtney came to get us & I asked her to "trim" my daughters hair, she asked if I also wanted the layers trimmed & I said yes. It didn't even take her 10 minutes to trim her hair & we left with it wet as it was an extra £3 to dry it. When we got home & it had dried it looked absolutely terrible, it was hacked & all different lengths, there was a difference of over an inch between 1 side & the other. I took her to see my usual hairdresser who said it's the worst haircut she's ever seen & asked me to take a photo before she put it right & said should go back to the salon & show them, which I did.......we spoke to the manager & Courtney who admitted that the shop had been very busy that day & she rushed it!!!! The manager just agreed with her that it had been busy that day!!! My daughter is so upset that her "trim" turned into a major cut just to put right what these cowboys had done. I ended up paying for 2 haircuts & will certainly never ever go back there again. It's just a shame that I can't add a photo on here to show the damage.

I'm not knocking anyone else's opinions as we all base our reviews on our own experiences but as I'm reading nothing but bad reviews about Cellys I'm going to tell everyone something positive.
I've been to Cellys in Plymouth on numerous occasions and found the staff polite, helpful and exceptionally good at what they do.
I've got a short layered crop which is always cut just the way I ask it to be done. I've also had it coloured twice at Cellys and for a tenner its a bargain :)
Great service, I walk in whenever it suits me, don't get fussed over with offers of coffee and head massages in order to bump up the cost. They cut my hair for a good price and high standard.
Thanks Cellys. I'll be back very soon and recommend you to everyone I know!

Shocking that's all I can say, had my bob reshaped she took about 10 minutes to cut it then blow dried it and straightened it while it was still damp, I had bits that was longer than others the back was uneven I could of cried when I got home...... You put your trust in people to do a good job but will never ever recommend this place to anyone not even my worst enemy. Rant over
