I visited the caerleon salon, after having used a mobile hairdresser for a considerable time. I have had many bad experiences in the past, and booked in to what I believed was a reputable business, that had been trading for many years.
I saw this visit as an opportunity to have a cut and colour that I had been attempting to create with my previous hairdresser. I knew that the visit was going to cost a considerable amount, but was more than willing to pay it on the basis that what I had asked for would be met, and I was ensuring that a fully trained professional salon were doing it. I requested a senior stylist, as I hadnt visited for a long time and did not know the current staff.
I asked for platinum blonde which on first glance, appeared successful. I became aware after leaving the salon after a 3hr visit that it was very patchy, particularly to the back , and would explain why the stylist didn't attempt to show it to me with the mirror.
I subsequently made a return appointment for the following week. At time of making this booking I was not met with apology or recompense but only a question as to whether I wanted my hair dried? Of course! Who pays £97 to be asked this question. After sitting in a chair for a further 2 and half hours i was hoping, or more importantly EXPECTING a perfect conclusion. I was horrified to find after being transferred from washbasin to mirror, to find that my colour now looked like the coat of what can only be described as my Mum's minature schnowser! I'm sure the briefing I had given them wasn't this! I have never visited such an amateur / Mickey Mouse operation in all my experiences. I have always paid good money, and visited high end salons in Cardiff to achieve excellent well groomed hair. What a joke.
After then being asked, by the stylist and manager as to how I thought it felt, i proceeded to tell them it's not to my liking and expectation. The dark grey became lighter, with further attention and products, but after further cutting into the layers, and me telling them it was slightly better, but still patchy ( dark ends etc) told....... "This is the best we can do" I have been known for keeping up with latest trends, and cuts, and have been complimented and asked where I go. Since this sham of a colour, I have been asked very different questions...... Omg where have you been? What have you done? Who did this to you? Good cut, Shame about the colour , etc etc.
I will never return or recommend to a living soul, not even my worst enemy. I think as a business woman, customer service is paramount. How short sighted of your employees/ manager in caerleon to not see my visits as an opportunity for future business, not only from myself but those I should be able to recommend too. I wish you luck for your future success, you will most definitely need it!
