Totally shocking experience.
The appointment prior to my experience this week, I had French tip done. He rushed this and used 2 different techniques on each hand- probably because he realised the first hand looked so bad. In the shop they looked fine but once I got home I could see there were white streaks all over the pink part of my nails from where he hadn’t properly cleaned up the white tip. I didn’t say anything about this but decided to give them another chance as I have come here for 9 years.
I arrived at my appointment this week to see one lady doing 2 people’s pedicures, and 10 mins before my appointment was due to start one man was just starting someone else’s nails. There were no other staff in the shop. I had called and booked my appointment the previous day, however my booking then started around 15 mins late, meanwhile he is going back and forth with the other clients nails and mine as he hasn’t finished her nails.
5 mins into my appointment, someone walks in asking for a manicure. He says to her yes that’s fine it will be 10 mins. I’m thinking I hope he doesn’t plan to do my nails in 10 mins but he did exactly that, rushing everything, taking no care and not letting the gel cure properly in between each layer.
Once he finished he asked if I was happy and I was completely shocked. The nails were extremely lumpy and thick, badly shaped and the colour was so streaky and weird dark marks in the nails. He tried to blame this on the fact it was my fault for asking for 2 layers of a sheer white opi and 1 layer sheer pink (a very common combo tonnes of girls get and I’ve never had problems at other salons). He also tried to blame it on the fact that I only got a ‘colour change’ and not a manicure and that my nails were dirty. They were not and he drilled my nails for the prep anyway, so this is no excuse, regardless of what I ask for you’re supposed to prep the nails properly and not rush to make them come out right. He also said it was my fault for choosing those colours, but when told him what I wanted he never said ‘oh this may not work etc’, also that is no excuse. Also, when I expressed my concerns afterwards he said ‘oh, we can just add glitter on it’. Why the hell would I want to do that when I’ve asked for pink nude nails?
Then tried to fix them (again rushed) it looked even worse. I asked for COMPLETELY STRAIGHT SQUARE nails and they’re all rounded and different shapes and still lumpy. He also took off most of the length without asking.
He told me to go speak to the lady and she was extremely aggressive towards me. Despite me being so polite and calm throughout the whole time from the beginning, and explaining nicely how I’m usually so happy with them(even though I’m not, I was trying to be nice) but that these nails were awful. The woman was so so aggressive shouting and saying I should appreciate the time they’ve spent on this. I said of course I understand that (but in my head I was thinking should I really appreciate the fact that you’ve actually spent no time on these)
They offered me to come back and fix them but why would i want to do that after such a poor service and waste anymore of my time with them. I shouldn’t have had to pay anything for these shitty nails but the lady was so rude and threatening and demanded money, acting as if it was my fault for this. I nearly started crying and gave them money just so I could get out of there. They did give me money off in the end but I shouldn’t have had to pay anything for this horrendous experience.
Lady also tried to drill them off but due to her aggressive behaviour I did not trust her to do this, I didn't feel comfortable and, I had to go back to work.
Lady was making fun of me and saying rude things in her language, which I could understand because I learned it at school
Disgusting service and behaviour, especially to a customer who has always been nothing but nice, calm and patient, coming here on and off for 9 years. They shouldn’t be allowed to get away with this, please be warned before you come here.

I made an appointment for a manicure at 11.30am on Sunday 25 June, When I arrived both therapists were busy, I sat down and waited for 10 minutes with no idea how long they'd be. I couldn't wait any longer (what's the point in making an appointment?) so have no idea how their work is.
I'm giving them one star as the salon looked OK and they're open 7 days, which would be useful if treatment was available. Seems it's better to just walk in off the street (I made an appointment as I was told Sundays are busy).
There are several more nail bars in East Sheen, think they're more reliable.
